There is a second, quieter adult pool behind the main one with plenty of sunbeds and parasols. The main pool plays piped music during the day; the back pool is the escape.

Sea access is about ten metres, though it is rocky shore rather than sand, with steps into the water and a diving school working the same stretch.

Source: Expedia and On the Beach listingsSunbeds and the big pool are reported as chargeable on some board bases. One guest calculated the pool alone at around 300 euros over a two-week stay and noted coach arrivals on full board had no alternative.
Source: Booking.com verified reviewSome suite private pools sit directly exposed to the street, so privacy varies sharply by unit. Ask which suites are screened before paying for one.
Source: Guest review summariesS'Algar has a couple of hotels, two supermarkets and roughly one other restaurant in the square. Guests who wanted more to do say so plainly; those who wanted quiet loved it.
Source: Guest reviewsDinner draws mixed reviews where breakfast is consistently called outstanding. The pattern matches its Mallorca sister: the buffet is the weaker meal.
Source: Aggregated review summariesThe nearest sandy beach is about 1.2 km, and a shuttle service is mentioned by guests; a hire car or bike genuinely improves this hotel given the location.
Source: On the Beach listing; guest reportsPool towels are available with a deposit, and there is a bar called Dinky's about 100 yards away plus entertainment at the sister hotel up the hill for a change of scene.

What the hotel sells
Paid tiers and upgrades, and whether they're worth it here.
My Favorite Club
Paid tier; confirm current price
- Selection of the best rooms
- Welcome minibar with water, soft drinks and beer
- Nespresso machine
- Pillow menu, bathrobe and slippers
- Personalised check-in and late check-out subject to availability
- Exclusive sunbeds at Purobeach Menorca Oasis del Mar
- Reserved area by the Kentia Sea Club
- Some club suites add a private pool and kitchenette
Worth it? More clearly worth assessing here than at the Mallorca sister, because if sunbeds and the main pool carry charges on your board basis, the club's included exclusive sunbeds change the arithmetic rather than just the comfort. Price the two options against each other before dismissing it.

The contested questions
Where guests disagree, and the fact that reconciles them.
Are sunbeds included
Our read: This appears to depend on board basis and which pool area you use, with the club tier including exclusive Purobeach sunbeds. It is the single most important thing to confirm in writing before you book. If any reader can settle it, the correction form is at the bottom of this page.
S'Algar as a base
Our read: Both from guests who enjoyed their stay. S'Algar is a small quiet resort; with a hire car it is a fine base for the south-east coves and Mahón, without one it is the hotel and the square.
