Staff are the standout: 9.5 on Booking across 380-plus scored reviews, with reception, bar, restaurant and housekeeping all named repeatedly. Cleanliness scores 9.4.
Source: Booking.com verified reviewsThe ten facts
Not on the booking page. Every one cited, dated, or guest-verified.
Breakfast handles dietary requirements properly: vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options called out by name in guest reviews rather than as an afterthought.
Source: Booking.com reviewsThe rooftop terrace surprises people who booked without noticing it, and swim-up rooms with direct pool access are available as a room category rather than a suite-only privilege.
Source: Guest reviews; hotel room listingsEvening food is the recurring gripe: "a bit samey" over a week, in contrast to the well-rated breakfast. Worth using Cala d'Or's restaurants for part of your stay.
Source: loveholidays verified reviewsWifi is the lowest-scoring category on Booking at 7.9, well below everything else at this hotel.
Source: Booking.com category scoresThis is the old Sunprime hotel rebranded. Reviews predating the change describe a different product, so filter anything older than the refurbishment.
Source: TripAdvisor listing historySome listings say children 18 and under are not allowed while the hotel states 16-plus. The hotel's own rule is 16-plus; check at booking if it matters to your party.
Source: Contested across OTA listingsCala Ferrera is a short stroll with white sand and protected, safe swimming water, and Cala Serena and Cala Esmeralda are within about a kilometre. Michael's Diving School is a few steps away.
Source: Listings and guest reportsStreet parking directly in front of the hotel is reported as never a problem, and parking is free, which is rare for Cala d'Or in August.
Source: Booking.com reviewThere is a tourist tax collected at the property, reduced by half after the eighth night. Budget roughly 1 to 4 euros per person per night depending on season.

What the hotel sells
Paid tiers and upgrades, and whether they're worth it here.
Room categories
Double, Junior Suite, Swim-Up, Suite
- Double rooms about 26 sq m with balcony
- Swim-Up rooms about 22 sq m with direct pool access
- Junior Suites with integrated living area
- Suites with private balcony and refined decor
- Pillow menu, blackout curtains, hypo-allergenic bedding across categories
Worth it? The swim-up is the upgrade with a real difference here, since it changes how you use the day rather than just adding square metres. Note swim-up rooms are smaller than standard doubles: you are buying access, not space.

The contested questions
Where guests disagree, and the fact that reconciles them.
The location
Our read: It sits between coves rather than in the town, so it is quiet by design. Cala d'Or centre and the marina are walkable but not doorstep; if you want the town on tap, this is the wrong end of the resort.
Food
Our read: Quality is not in dispute, variety over a full week is. Short stays report excellent; week-long stays hit repetition. Plan two or three dinners out.
